JM / Technology

Software-assisted sourcing. Human-reviewed decisions.

JM is Stockward Supply's internal market-research and inventory-sourcing application.

For marketplace and API reviewers: JM retrieves current marketplace listing data through authorized APIs, maps listings to Stockward's internally maintained product catalog and research, and prioritizes potential sourcing opportunities for manual review. JM does not automatically place bids or purchases and does not redistribute marketplace data to third parties.

Application flow

01 · IngestCurrent listings

Authorized marketplace APIs provide current listing data.

02 · MatchProduct identity

JM attempts to match listings to known products and rejects uncertain matches.

03 · EvaluateInternal economics

Stockward's own valuation and business rules estimate whether a listing merits review.

04 · ReviewHuman decision

A person decides whether to research further or purchase.

What JM uses marketplace data for

  • Searching current inventory through authorized marketplace APIs.
  • Reading listing attributes such as title, item price, shipping information, condition, and marketplace identifiers.
  • Matching current listings against Stockward's private catalog and valuation research.
  • Prioritizing a small number of listings for manual sourcing review.

What JM does not do

  • No automated bidding or purchasing.
  • No collection of marketplace user passwords.
  • No public redistribution or resale of marketplace data.
  • No claim that unmatched listings are equivalent products.
  • No reliance on scraping when an authorized API is the appropriate integration path.

Current integration status

JM has been validated against eBay's Sandbox environment using OAuth and the Browse API. Production marketplace access, where required, is pursued through the applicable developer review and approval process.
